Developing Your Spiritual Man

Summary

The spiritual man is the person who has allowed his life to be ruled and governed by the Word of God. He knows who he is in Christ and has developed an intimate relationship with the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.

A spiritual man is already blessed with all spiritual blessings in Jesus Christ (Ephesians 1:3).
1. Spiritual people know they are already empowered to be successful.
2. Spiritual people take advantage of what is available to them in the Word.
  1. Answered prayer
  2. The blood of Jesus
  3. The righteousness of God
  4. Healing, deliverance, etc.
3. Spiritual people regularly feed on the Word of God.
4. Spiritual people saturate themselves in the Word and in the love of God.
There are three things that a spiritual person should do:
1. A spiritual person should know the Father.
  1. A relationship with God must become real, not just something you know about.
  2. You become acquainted with the Father through prayer and fellowshipping with Him in His Word.
2. A spiritual person should have a reality of the Son.
  1. You know Jesus Christ in His ministry at the right hand of God the Father.
    1. He is High Priest.
    2. He is our Advocate.
    3. He is our Intercessor.
    4. He is our Shepherd.
    5. He is Lord.
  2. You know that Jesus didn't come to condemn you, but to save you from your sins (John 3:17).
3. A spiritual person knows the Holy Ghost.
  1. You know the blessed intimacy of the Holy Spirit.
  2. Mysteries are revealed to you by the Holy Spirit.
  3. You know the Holy Spirit as Indweller (1 John 4:4).
  4. You know the Holy Spirit as your Teacher (1 Corinthians 2:12).
